basically, afaik, c3+ are made in germany, c1's china, but overall, i think the best is what you use it for. they also have different attachements, for pets, etc...

so, hard to say exactly, what may work best for you...

give an olderthread a read, it may help you as well!

If you have a local authorized dealer, I'm guessing going in armed with this deal information you could probably negotiate a simple price match. In fact I've heard a few anecdotes about how local authorized dealers sometimes throw in something small, like a couple extra bags or maybe even an extra attachment, to decidedly be your best deal.
Even without any token freebies, a simple price match from a local dealer would almost certainly improve your position, regarding obtaining convenient and timely warranty repairs in the future.

I own a c1 for a few years and had been great. Is it possible to purchase additional attachments to make it "cat and dog" etc?

Miele currently has a sale on their vacuum bags as part of their black Friday sale.

Still cheaper on Amazon. 4 pack + 2filter at Amazon is $19, 8 pack + 4filter at Miele is $63 after discount. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...UF9C&psc=1

I have the Blizzard CX1 Cat and Dog version, and it is by far the best vacuum we've owned.

For carpet make sure to get a model that has the electric head. I love my miele but I've got the non electric head and it struggles over low pile rugs just because the roller doesn't spin mechanically (just by your pushing). I don't have any carpet so that's ok, but I'd never really recommend it otherwise.

Also FYI, meile has upright models.
Someone posted here that upright models are discontinued.

Oh, I was unaware of that. Looks like they abandoned that to go after the stick vacuum market. That sucks (no pun intended)

People that buy miele do it so they can brag to their friends at Starbucks about it.

The stick versions looked great but always got mediocre reviews. Cannister tend to be worlds better anyway.

I bought my C3 Brillant from a local store. Haggled it down to $1400. With free 4 year annual maintenence, 8 year extended warranty, and 8 free bags. This is awesome, controls are directly on the wand, turbo works great on high pile rugs, and I still have not overloaded the large C3 bag. Meanwhile. My cheapo Bissell has not been used once since...
+1 for the Brilliant.

Youtube reviews on the Miele stick vacuums are overwhelming positive, at least relative to competitors.

The average American person hasn't even heard of miele. When they think of vacuums, they think of Dyson. When they think of kitchen appliances, they think of wolf/subzero

Miele now uses cheap materials. Mine started falling apart after a couple years.

I know that their c1 line is now made in china, but their c3 is made in germany, so those should still have quality parts?

It looks like all the top of the line C3 models are sold out.
