As chemistries and voltage vary across both battery types and brands, we recommend that you do not mix batteries. Mixing of cells can result in battery leakage and sub-optimal device performance. For best results, replace all batteries with the same brand, chemistry, voltage, and size when the device performance becomes unsatisfactory.

At one time Amazon had more than 5000 1 star reviews and only about 50 5 star reviews for the Kirkland signature brand batteries being sold there by various retailers. They are that bad. I had lost countless electronics, some very expensive, after finding out they leaked and destroyed the device.
With that said, I can't speak to the new Kirkland signature batteries that are white in color. I don't know if they changed brands but let me warn you about the old beige/brown packaging: avoid those batteries like the plague. You will regret it dearly

Costco and Duracell have leaked the most for me and I won't by them anymore.
Energizer has given me the least problems. They are on sale at Home Depot 30 AAA or 36 AA for about $15.
