Isn't what illegal? Emby is a Plex competitor.

Turkey is $33, but you need a Turkish CC. Paypal is blocked for Turkey and American CCs fail with "does not match region selected". Not sure about the value of this 'tip'.

I am so torn between plex and emby. I have been using plex for a couple years and have been mostly ok with it. Am in the middle of retrying Emby but its only been 3 days. I like a lot of what I see but unsure if $99 worth especially since Plex can be had for $33 with the country trick.

Any great arguments for emby over plex.

I have used Jellyfin, they lost me by not having an Xbox app. First saying it was coming for years then abandoning it. I use an xbox as my media center and run things off my qnap nas.

Makes sense, I use it with Roku personally and the app is pretty good.

Looks like Jellyfin actually has a Kodi plugin, which should work for Xbox as far as I can tell. Could be worth looking at if you feel like giving it another shot.
