I agree. 240 bucks for a 450 watt powered Klipsch subwoofer is a phenomenal deal. Even though the last thing I need is another a sub and my wife would kill me if I bought another one, I'm still actually considering pulling the trigger on this deal because as far as Im concerned, there's no such thing as having too many subwoofers and this is almost too good to pass up. So if you people never see me post again it probably means I ended up buying this and my Wife killed me. It was nice being a part of the SD community while it lasted.
This is a great subwoofer for the price. They are the newer model of R110-SW, these are leaps and bounds better than the cheaper R10 and the R100 line.
Yikes

Thank you! That is the synergy line.. if I'm understanding correctly this SPL line is different. Has anyone heard the difference between the two? First timer here TIA

Not the same line. That sub is just ok, most don't like it. The SPL line is good and tends to compete with subs twice their price.

I'm not using it for music but so far been happy. I found it to be muddy out of the box but I dialed in the crossover and gain and it's been great

Well, that rating doesnt mean theres no sound below 27hz, it means 27hz is the 3db down point when the frequency starts to roll off so If it isnt a steep rolloff, you can still get usefull extenion below 27hz

This subwoofers and others in this range will likely start rolling off around 35hz, in practice. The listed frequency response is not a great indicator of actual performance. There needs to be a testing standard such as the CEA2010 to do burst testing or frequency sweeps to test the maximum SPL at various frequencies. There is little data on Klipsch subwoofers, but some companies like Monoprice provide this information. This really matters if you're chasing the very low bass (under 30hz). If you are, you will need to look at SVS, Monoprice, HSU, Rythmik, PSA, or DIY. There needs to be large ports or large drivers with lots of excursion to have meaningful outputs at the super low frequencies.

Continous power(200 w) is better number to put in description than max power(400 w)

They are very similar. The SPL line replaced the R-1XXSW line up. Get whatever is cheaper. Took a look at the price on BB and it was way too high. Have seen the 12" subs down around $320 quite often. Don't be fooled by the R-1XSW, that is a different line entirely and is not as good as SPL or 1XX lines.

Better for who though? They believe its better for them to post these BS numbers because they count on there customers to be not tech savvy enough to understand that a max power rating is near meaningless, To a lot of people, all they see is a bigger number, and bigger must be better right? At the shop I worked at in the early 90's we used to call that max rating the ILS Rating. We called it that because the only way there was even a hint of truth to it would be ILS ....or If Lightning Strikes. That's the only way it could have any truth to it. It would be akin to telling somebody a piece of shit car can do 200mph to try to sell it but not telling them the truth which is it can only do 200on on its way to its death because you'd have to drop it from an airplane for it to reach that speed.

Thank you for the details shared. last week Best Buy had the R-121SW on sale for $299. The SPL-120 was $499 as well. I thought the R-121SW was the new model from Klipsch.

Monolith m-10 at $461 would be my first choice.

If you buy 2 speedwoofers, you get a 10% discount. Another great option if you want to spend $810 for 2 subs.

Edit:

Svs will have an outlet sale on cyber monday 9am eastern. you may be able to snag a pb1000 for as low as $350 (maybe blemished)

Where do you see 10% off 2 Speedwoofers? I just spoke with Joe from RSL and he informed me they have never offered this discount on Speedwoofers.

Better amp, better driver, you would have to listen to them to understand. Most the time when you see these SPL deals go on sale for a price like this they sell out within 24 hours which this one did as well. There's a really good review of this particular SPL 100 against the SVS pb1000. They're pretty comparable which is why this sold out so quick. you're getting a $400-500 class sub for 240. I know it's hard if you don't have a place to demo these because the specs don't really tell you much. If you have a Klipsch system their SPL subs are currently the best home theater line and they do pretty well with music too. With their lower lines you have less output, it's muddier, doesn't dig as deep, doesn't get as loud.

Thank you. This is very helpful. I wish I had purchased this early when I saw them it was available in-stock. Nevermind next time when its on sale I will grab them. Thanks again.
