If ur a Nvidia fanboy this is a no brainer a great deal, but if can hold a little more longer, my advice is wait 7000 series' release and buy for a nuch lower price of 6000 series next year.
AMD looks like they're holding the line as well, the price/performance ratio of their announced 7xxx series are basically the same as what the 6xxx are at currently.
Terrible deal. Hold the line. This card is over 2 years old now and 40 series is already out. You should be paying this much for the 4070 when released. Please save your money, this is a horrible deal.
Hahaha, you think a 4070 will be this price? Nvidia just tried to pawn off a 4070 at $900 by calling it a 12gb 4080. Hell the one they eventually stuck as 4080 starts at $1200. No copium here, it's naivium thinking a 4070 will be $450

I ordered one, this seems very reasonable based on other prices. With inflation and other factors one shouldn't assume the new stuff coming will be more affordable. A lot 3060 ti's are selling for more than $450.

Nvidia fans should be drooling with saliva and booger because this is the best deal for a 3070. But if you are a smart buyer that cares about value then the 6700XT/6750XT 12GB is sub $370 and the much stronger 6800 with 16GB is as low as $470. Heck, even an AsRock 6800XT is crazy good value for $515.
I would buy an AMD card at much better pricing, but Moonlight only works with Nvidia cards =[
(Moonlight is for mirroring games from PC to other devices like Nvidia Shield)
Sunshine is for AMD, Moonlight is for Nvidia.
If you want the very best then you still are going to be buying Nvidia. If you want a card that performs very well but isn't the very best than AMD is fine. If cards are priced similarly Nvidia offers better performance (DLSS) and also supports FSR so they have a lot of big advantage and this is only scratching the surface.

But 4060 is at least $100 - $150 more expensive, 4070 is atleast $150-$200 more expensive. The 30's and 40's won't be the same price.
There are no 4060'sor 4070's this year/ NONE. There are 4080's and 4090 are selling over MSRP. 4070's and 4060's will be higher than this. I swear the average IQ of those that post here is about 60. I've been in the industry for 30 years. I sell thousands of systems and GPS's a year. It's not Nvidia--it's al the card manufacturers tired of NO margins and all the resellers tired of no margin. MSRP on most cards is 5-7% over our cost. After shipping, Merchant fees, platform fees, there is no profit. It's why EVGA got out. The idjits saying 3 years old are arm dragging basement dwellers. It's a current model till there's a replacement.

Bit off-topic, but do you know how well Sunshine performs with AMD cards as opposed to Moonlight?

Sorry I don't, I looked into the AMD implementation for a friend. The AMD card I have is a little older now so probably not a fair test unfortunately. I do know there is a few different forks of of Sunshine so it's probably worth checking them out, from what I read the AMD implementation was passed onto another dev a few months back. Good luck.

Was about to grab 6800xt from Newegg with the promo code, but AMD card is not performing well with Davinci Resolve. 6900XT is slower than 3070 in Davinci. sigh
