Up until July 2021 it cost $129.99 non-sale. And considering inflation, supply chain problems, etc $12 more isn't bad, just should make this the standard price and call it a day. These EGO Multi-Head system tools are really obnoxious because it feels like they're priced too high then have one sale a year when you can buy them for a fair price. $142 for this with no battery isn't actually a "hot deal" just a fair and reasonable price in my opinion.
I legitimately think EGO are going to wind up killing their own Multi-Head system with this pricing strategy, but what do I know? Maybe people are happy to pay the same for the Multi-Head String Trimmer Attachment as EGO's stand-alone string trimmers, even though the stand-alone has more features AND sometimes includes a battery on sale for a similar price or lower.
I'd check individual attachment's reviews on Amazon, some are better than others.
I only have like 10' of sidewalk to edge. It would take more time to swap the attachment than to actually edge
