This headphones are legend in the community, especially at this price point. Not my sound signature (I prefer REALLY bassy headphones) especially for the genres I listen to, but TU and repped anyway.

In this price range (under 250$) what open back headphones would you advise for classical or songs with a lot of violon/piano while maintaining a decent sound stage?

You could try this deal. Another option is these HiFiMan headphones for $109. Note that they will need a headphone amp.

Thanks for your reply, I'll get the one from this deal (though I hope it's still available in 12 hours).
As for trying planar headphones how do these cheaper ones compare to the ones you linked https://drop.com/buy/drop-hifiman...310b0b961e ?

HD-58X Jubilee are $129. Some people prefer these. What are the differences ?
A little more bass, little more muddy vocals when compared to the 6xx. and that's not a diss to the 58x by any means cause in a lot of ways the 58x is end game headphones for consumers. If you want a headphone that can be driven by a phone, game console, controller or basically anything get the 58x. While I would recommend an Amp for the 6xx especially if you like louder music, but it isn't needed.

Just scooped a pair of these HD 6XX cans. Signing up for emails triggered the $10 off bringing it to $169. Didn't realize I already had a login on a different email until I tried to use that one to get the discount. Switched to another email address, and now they're sending me another $10 code for referring a "friend" 😁

Those should be essentially the same sound. A little lower quality of headband and maybe less comfortable (and heavier). Here's a comparison: https://forum.headphones.com/t/dr...e-x4/12561

Either would likely be good options.

I wanna kill myself for getting these too early at $199... applying a $10 discount to get $189. All because I thought it wouldn't get any lower and that maybe the $179 price from before started a week before Black Friday. If I could've gotten this at $169, I might've been able to skip using a forwarder... fark. (currently $169 should be below the tax-free limit we have in our country... tho I'm not sure if they'd include that $20 shipping cost...)

Ordered it in advance so that maybe it'll arrive on time for the black friday sale of the forwarder but even until now, there still isn't any notification from there.
Update: I managed to get a $20 refund by asking support regarding the price adjustment.
Not sure if required, but I also sent them a screencap (to show that it's been 5 days since purchase where I saw that it went down $20). I dunno if they'd refund peeps that bought at $199 AFTER the Black Friday sale tho. Just ask them nicely (at least... I think I asked nicely).

I'm glad to hear they granted a price adjustment! The "I wanna kill myself" message you wrote stuck with me a bit last time and I felt pretty sad about it.

Thanks for posting an update so others who are in your situation may also give it a shot.

Take care,
Tofu Vic

Any recommendations on which amplifier to use for a PC and smartphone setup with these headphones? I purchased this product last time and it's slated to be delivered on 12/07/2022.

Thanks,
Tofu Vic

Topping DX3 Pro+ seems to be a great option after doing some research online. I purchased it but waiting for my 6XX to arrive.
