Yep i ended up gettind the TCL. You can also look into Samsung for $50 more. Its OOS for delivery but you can do store pickups at limited locations (none near mine). The TCL is also OOS for delivery but there was 1 left at my local bestbuy
Here is the comparison between them

It has pretty good review on RTINGS

I actually bought the Hisense TV and returned it. The quality was garbage and I couldn't figure out how it got such a high review on RTINGS…then I saw the disclaimer that the 75" uses a different panel than their review unit and has worse contrast. Then it all made sense. Viewing angles were terrible and the blooming was impossible to ignore.

* Sony's up the same creek.
I used to be a huge fanboy and did not mind paying the "Sony Tax" that is until my upper tier Sony TV lasted less than 2 years.
Sony customer service informed me that I should have not expected for the TV to last longer than two years????
TL;DR Mfg costs & marketing ploy.
The manufacturer pays IP licensing fees for each HDMI port along with the cost of the port itself + cost to install it.
Likely doesn't cost much but they want to keep costs as low as possible on cheap models like this.
They have cheap models to begin with to get you shopping. Once you realize the limitations, you're likely to spend more for a model with more features like additional HDMI ports.
Okay, since he said $1k, you win.
But how about this one? Have you seen a 70"+ with 120Hz for $570?
When you see this size TV at this low of price on SD, set some realistic expectations.
Of course it's not going to be a 120Mhz panel. It should go without saying.
