This is far from normal experience especially in newer OLEDs.

p.s. I remember people saying this about plasma TVs which had stopped being an issue by mid-time of its popularity cycle. The early plasma had an issue just like OLEDs, then a few releases the manufacturers learn how to handle it. At this point in the OLED technology cycle, for most users who dont leave it on 24 hrs a day watching CNN/ESPN and also don't let the TV run burn-in protection cycles, burn is extremely unlikely.
It's why I avoid most new technologies for several years. OLED is now mature and safe to buy IMHO.

$200 gc. buydig's price much better, but some people prefer being able to return in 90days or pickup from store... if that's you, then extras are not worth it..
i have never bought tv from store in the last 20 years, including getting 5-7 of them trashed on delivery...

no, i am saying, i will buy it wherever is the best deal, but if it's close, i will buy online for sure... store better be at least 10-15% lss... because
if you buy in store, you cant open it or test it to see if it works... what if you drive it on the way from store to home or from home to living room?
online shows delivery, you can ask them to open it (WHITE GLOVE) and test it as soon as it arrives or if not, if there is damage inside 72hrs, you usually can get it replaced....
that's my personal view... and yes, i bought from buydig many times before, including my last TV.. no issues
