Not that Consumer Reports is the end all. However I used that and some other info to get a Vitamix today. The 750 here and the 7500 are both the top rated blenders, while the 5200 comes in a close second. I have been checking this page below for several months and finally bought this deal today. Tons of helpful info here.

Hey I may can report back soon. I just ordered, so has not even shipped yet. Honestly I did not think about noise, as that is a minimal factor to me considering all the other specs.

I purchased this model back in 2016 for $530. It is used on a fairly regular basis. I have replaced the jar once due to the bearing going out. As for noise it's a blender. It's loud. Overall I've been very happy with it.
