You need to assess your house to see what could cause the most damage and where would be the hardest for you do detect without these devices. Example: upstairs laundry room= high dollar damage potential, downstairs toilet= less damage potential and high likelihood of you noticing a leak yourself.

If you are going to go thru the trouble of having all of the sensors i really recommend having a smart water valve that can shut off based on the sensors (not sure if Govee supports this). But i really want protection without a human in the loop

This is a great price. There's a limit of 1 set of 5 with this discount.

Yes, the app will give you alerts on your phone, via email, and can be linked to Alex to get alerts there.

Bought this and the gateway deal yesterday. Where should I place these? Under washer, behind toilets, under sinks (in back corner?), under hot water heater, in crawl space?

In for one saved us the 3 pack and base when we had a leak in the bathroom. Goes off on phone and device.
Your suggestion for smart pipes would they not be a lot more. Asking as curious

In one year I had 5 completely different freak-accident leaks and clogs in my house. One small one was entirely my fault, I forgot to re-place the drain hose for the washer after moving it to access the main sewer line to fix the clog. In all cases I was home, but I had these detectors in the right place for only 2 of the leaks. My less-deaf wife heard the beeping a minute or two before the app notification. I'm not complaining, I'm just glad it has both. I ended up with no serious water damage when I was able to do immediate cleanup. If I was at work then the notification would allow only a 20 minutes of leaking before I could take action (which is a mess), and 8 hours (which potentially renders my house uninhabitable).

It works perfectly with Alexa and I setup the routines to shut off the main valve automatically when water leaks detected.

What do you use to shut off the main valve?

I have these and they work great. I had a radiator start leaking while I was out of town. Got the alert and a neighbor went over and took care of it.

Now I put them under every sink, toilet, and radiator.

No price in title.
So what is the price? $49-$15 or is the deal dead? What was it?
