Thanks I confirmed it via the rtings review. As soon as I saw that it was the same as the Gigabyte I already have I stopped the FOMO.

Anyone on the fence I can tell you once you go large OLED for monitor you don't want to go back.

Lowest price ever so far. Since it changed prices now 3 times this holiday already, I'm wondering if it will go even lower in a week or two?

It might, it is a very niche item given it's size.

I think a significant upgrade for you probably involves USB C if you use that, and a heatsink like the one the new Asus PG42UQ uses. I've seen no sales on that one so far so it's a no go for me, but I believe it's linus's current daily driver so it speaks to how good it is.

Thanks I am going to hold off. I was mainly interested in this because I was hoping that it had higher brightness due to the aggressive ABL in the gigabyte model, but I guess that it is worse in the LG model from what rtings said

All of them have aggressive ABL because it's a way to protect that OLED pixels.

You can get a C2 and then go to a URL that allows you to disable it

I don't think that ABL can be disabled, I believe that you can reduce the effects of it with the service remote. I'm pretty sure the Asus PG42UQ doesn't have any ABL because of the heatsink, but it's $500 more than the C2. Probably just get the C2 since it's cheaper. The ultragear is worse than the C2 as far as ABL goes from what I've seen.
