Since you own these. Would you suggest to remove the first set of panels to bring the price down to $1300+ and register for the free ones? Will the fridge still be operable without the panels? What are you impressions of this model?
Really hesitant to purchase Samsung or LG. I currently have an LG and was repaired twice
I've heard nothing but horror stories from Samsung and LG owners. I'm remodeling my kitchen and need all new appliances and it sucks since they have best price/features. Need to figure them all out this weekend but nothing really stands out!
I finally got it to work as well. Not sure what was different this time. I clicked link (for 20th time?) and when I landed on the Samsung page this time a dropdown popped up asking which type of discount to use (First Responder, Education, etc). I selected Education but nothing happened. Refreshed and price was correct. With 3 year warranty and tax I was at 1521.
Edit: For the discussion on quality... I am buying this one because our previous Samsung refrigerator had an issue with the water leaking. This is frequently attributed to the ice maker not being well insulated while within the Refrigerator section. I had multiple visits with attempted fixes and eventually a full refund for the appliance. Now it will become a secondary fridge without water/ice hookup.
I actually think my issue with water leaking was due to air in my water line. I'm on a community well that has been struggling to keep up but just had some upgrades. I'm hopeful between that and the ice maker being in the freezer that I won't have issues with this new fridge. If there are issues though I expect them to show up within the 3 year warranty period. So for me, with the sale it was worthwhile to give Samsung another chance.

I was able to replicate as well with the EDU store account:
30 cu ft Bespoke 3 door w/ Beverage Center (customized door panels removed): $1,359.20
3 year Samsung Care $49.99
Installation Free
My total before tax $1,409. 12% Cashback on Rk10 and 5% back on Chase card w/ Paypal
After those $1,169
I did not opt for the recycling as my current fridge will sell easily locally.
Question for those that purchased - my deliver shows out to January 5th. When I selected the panels (that I later removed) it showed Nov 30th, but removing the panels pushed my deliver out to January 5th. Did you have a similar delivery date over 30 days out?
I ordered it bare with no panels a cpl of months ago. It looks very unfinished. I eventually got the panels I wanted. I don't have plans to switch them out again unless they are severely discounted. If you aren't looking for a spare set, order it without the panels and submit the rebate and get the set you want with the promo code whenever they approve it.
Do u happen to have a pic that shows the fridge without the panels?. Wondering if i can survive the look until the free panels come.
The thing about the rebate and free panels is that you can't even submit your request till the fridge is delivered, mine is saying January. Then it shows 12-14 weeks for your rebate code, once that is received you have to order the panels which who knows what stock will be like at that point. Bottom line is expect multiple months of no panels worst case if you go with this, definitely want to see what it looks like without before ordering.

I purchased a 4 Door Bespoke French on Sept 5th. Delivered on Sept 10th. Submitted the rebate on Sept 11th. Received the code via email on Sept 13th.
YMMV.
The longest wait I had was a website stock issue. The panels were showing in stock, but the website wouldn't allow me to purchase them, Samsung couldn't explain why I was getting the error.
After a few weeks of not trying, I was able to order the panels on Nov 1st and they were delivered and installed Nov 9th.
Is this one plagued by the frozen drain line. I got burned on last samsung fridge cause of this
I feel your pain, I was just soaking up the water under my crisper drawer the other day. I believe they resolved that issue with the newer models, the latest issues have revolved mostly around the ice makers.

You can survive it.. for the $400 you'll save by doing in that way.
If you have an Best Buy Outlet near you, they'd be sure to have atleast 1 or 2 of those without panels. The one near me had quite a few.
