I've been using the LG 34WN80C-B for about a year for work (and some personal use). This model seems to be a newer version with a few upgrades, such as the power delivery (65W vs 90W) as well as the location of the ports (on the back near the VESA mount vs under the monitor).

My secondary monitor (on another desk) is a regular 27" DELL. Once you work with a curved monitor for so long, anything else looks "concave" on the top and bottom Smilie

The biggest difference between the two is the USB-C connectivity. If you have a laptop with a ISB-C/Thunderbolt port, you'll be able to connect it with a single USB-C cable for power, video and audio.

The second important difference is the panel type. The one from Costco has a VA panel while this one has IPS which is sharper and has better image quality.

The one from Costco is 35", while this one is 34"

Lastly, monitors do not fall under Costco's 90 day return period, if that's something important to you.

Wow. Thanks for the great explanation.

Now, I am more inclined towards buying this monitor from Amazon. Also, with 5% cashback from Amazon card I will get little more discount.

I work from home, so my main requirement is to get a monitor with sharp image quality, which makes read/write text easy.
Thanks again.
Cheers

Go with the IPS for monitors. I've given a VA ultrawide a chance, but ended up going with the IPS because of the eye strain.

Agreed. The text on the VA panel (Samsung 34" curved) was noticeably blurry, it was unusable as a work monitor. I replaced it with the LG version (IPS).

Looks like this might be one of those Black Friday specific models...not much information or reviews on this model. Only a few reviews on amazon from late Oct 2022 onwards. But 34inch IPS with 99% sRGB, 300cd brightness, 90W PD, USB-C KVM switch and a mild 3800R curve might be worth a try.

Could be... Mine should be here on Monday. I'll do a side-by-side comparison (two desks are side by side, hehe) with the 34WN80C-B. As you mentioned, there are some nice specs on this monitor. Moreover, I like that the ports are now moved to the bottom; I use Ergotron arms for my monitors and the cables always get in the way when I move the monitor against the wall, since they're right next to the VESA mount.

Seems to be back. The 60hz refresh rate isn't amazing, but the rest of the specs seem pretty great since I'm not going to be gaming on this.

In day to day work, I may or may not notice the 60hz refresh rate, but I will notice being and to eliminate a bunch of cables with 90w PD, USB C video and KVM. With all that I cancelled my order for the Costco 35" VA panel.

Congrats!

Before purchasing the 34WN80C-B (60Hz, 65W PD, USB-C), I did try the 35" LG from Costco. The text was blurry due to the VA panel. Given that these 60Hz monitors will be used for work, that was a deal breaker for me. The IPS panel on the 34WN80C-B has been great. Obviously it's not a 4K monitor, but it's crisp enough. I'll report back when I get this one on Monday.

I just opened mine today. Color and everything looks good. The only thing I don't like is that KVM is software based and only support Windows 10.
