Not a commentary on anything else regarding Sharp or this TV in particular, but it's incredibly deceptive to use the term "Full Array" if the TV doesn't have local dimming. The proper term for constant-brightness LED backlighting spread throughout the panel is "Direct Lit". That's what everyone else in the industry has standardized on. This is compared to "Edge Lit" for TVs that have LEDs only on the edges.

The term "Full Array", on the other hand is standard shorthand for a TV with local dimming. Again, this is standard in the industry. For Sharp to use the term to refer to what is actually Direct Lit (while I'm sure justifying it by saying "well we didn't use the term 'local dimming' anywhere) is intended to confuse customers into thinking they are getting a feature they are not getting.

So, Best Buy's web site is in fact correct in stating that this TV, like almost every other one in its class, is Direct Lit. Any reference to "Full Array" is wrong and misleading.

No, Sharp retrieved the license from Hisense 2 years ago. This is a TV designed by Sharp using a Sharp panel and manufactured by Sharp's strategic investor, Foxconn, in Mexico. How do I know? I work for Sharp.

No risk. It's just $300. Bought a 65 inch Hisense at best buy two years ago for $250 and still work perfect.

I know I'll have some work to figure it all out but I mainly just want a TV to watch while outside in my hot tub. I'll mount it in a way that I can bring it if most of the time, and likely some kind of cover or something.

My question is, what do I need to look for as far as better viewing outside {sun, daylight... Etc}

If you like the Roku interface you can just buy the plug in device of your choice. Some great deals right now and I recommend it over most built in smart apps.

Looks like we can schedule delivery until next year. Can we schedule it till Christmas and keep looking for better deals? Will they still deliver it after a month? Never tried the bestbuy schedule delivery earlier

Thank you. MIL wants me to order this for her, but her console table is only 45" wide, so the feet on the 65" tv's are just too wide.

I'm the exact opposite I have 3 roku T v's and Roku sticks for when I travel. They've been awesome I would not buy another TV Without roku. I bought a fire TV recently and didn'tdidn't like the fire TV at all I just returned I can't remember but it was missing some pretty basic apps like YouTube TV or something.

Opposite of most reviews online. I've never once had an issue with Roku tv in years.

Yea I wasn't expecting anything phenomenal. But I was replacing a 3 year old lower/mid range Hisense, and the new one had FAR worse sound. Sounds like a little pocket radio. 😂
