Ryzen version has 3050, but no thunderbolt and lower raw performance.
H series alderlake will probably throttle in this slim design.

"PCWorld's testing is good news for Intel's new GPUs. It shows that even its entry-level products are not as slow as we thought and can perform on par with Nvidia's latest RTX 3050 GPUs"

Let's compare this deal with the recent hot FP deal $550 IdeaPad 3,IdeaPad 3 6600H, 3050, 8GB, 15.6", 256GB SSD, that had over 50 up votes in 2 separate threads.
12500H > 6600H
16" 2.5K (2560x1600) IPS 350 nits Anti-glare, 100% sRGB, 120Hz > 15.6" (1920x1080) IPS 250 Nits 45% NTSC, 120 Hz
A370M < 3050
16GB DDR5 > 8GB DDR4
1TB SSD > 256GB SSD
No ethernet < Ethernet RJ-45
Thunderport 4 port > No thunderport
135W power adapter < 170W power adapter
4.3lb > 5.1lb
IdeaPad 5i Pro build > IdeaPad 3 build
The main takeaways is the much better CPU, much better display, much better RAM, more SSD, much lighter. The forum thread did say the 170W is a big deal to realize the full power of the 6600H but I think even with the smaller PS, it's still much faster CPU. Both the A370M and 3050 are not really serious gaming GPUs so they rank the same except that I heard A370M may not be as rock solid stable as Nvidia's stuff. You are getting HUGE upgrades for just $125.

I really don't think people understand just how good a deal this is.

One way to tell if some of these BF deals are legit, is to see if they are still selling for close to that price after BF. The $550 deal is still there and I think it's actually only $50-$100 more if it wasn't in "deal" mode. Bought the Alienware x14 for $780 effective. Now it's selling for $1500. That's the indication that it's a hot deal.
Unfortunately SD doesn't seem to allow deals to show the TRUE effective selling price. $795 vs $550 seems like quite a difference. But the hard core SD guys who know what's up, know that sometimes the hot deals require a little digging. SD/RTen cashback are essentially cash, not some "I hope I get the reward for buying (YMMV)" situation.

And apply the coupons and the cash back and it's $446. So it's $234 cheaper, not $125.

8GB? Need to upgrade. 250 nits screen? Like saying I can live with the 4 cyl cuz I save $100! But for that extra $100, you could have gotten that V6 (12500H) and the luxury leather interior (16" 350 nits 2560x1600). Not to mention ALL the other SIGNIFICANT upgrades. It's not even close.
You gonna have to live with that laptop for 3 years. Dumping after a year cuz it was too underpowered means what another $500 to spend on another crappy computer? Or holding it for 3 years and constantly watching task manager to see if you are using 100% CPU is not good.

Having to buy that extra stick of lower speed RAM is gonna cost what another $50?
Think holding that laptop for 3 years. Gonna be painful.
