Yes. you're going to want a usb-c dongle because this models lacks sufficient ports but the specs are really good for this price.

Strange to see Ryzen 5 with 32GB. You're paying a lot for that RAM.

To me the EliteBook 845 G9 is a better buy - it's about 0.3 lb heavier but a 14-inch display. Not as sleek as this "ThinkPad" but more practical, esp. in port selection. Ryzen 6800U, otherwise similar specs, and quite a lot cheaper: https://slickdeals.net/f/16226077-hp-elitebook-845-g9-laptop-14-fhd-ips-ryzen-7-6850u-32gb-ddr5-1tb-pcie-ssd-usb4-win10-pro-1148-55-f-s

The ram is soldered and LPDDR5 6400 vs the G9 using swappable DDR5 4800 sodimms. Sodimms have speed and space limitations thus are likely to be replaced by CAMM modules in the future.

PS: I ordered the HP G9 because of the 6800U + Radeon 680M

G9 looks promising but can't seem to find a decent resolution. No 3:2 or 1440p options?

I could be wrong, but I don't think manufactures offer multiple aspect ratios for a particular series laptop chassis. It would mean certain screen options would have fat bezels on the top or sides which would look strange if they did.

The 845 G9 chassis is 16:10 so potentially 1920×1200, 2560×1600 and 3840x2400.

The Thinkpad Z laptops are definitely good but I just cant imagine picking it up over the X1 Carbon. The X1 feels much more like a "true Thinkpad" with it's keyboard, trackpad buttons, build, and good assortment of ports. However, It seems Lenovo doesn't offer Ryzen on the newest gen X1 Carbon, which would be a real shame.

I'm due for a new laptop at work, had this been the 6850u with the 680M I would have bit. Too bad it's not customizable either..
