I think you're thinking of a pulse oximeter. Which has it's place outside of covid as well.
And this is a great deal on this device.

This one can work as a standalone device, yet seems to be capable of connecting via BT to a phone to transfer the readings.
And it's made by Omron, which is one of the trusted brands in this category of devices.
Edit: Maybe worthwhile to add the 2-year protection for $3 extra.
Also, Omron 10-series may be available through Walgreens for $60 after coupons if you're looking for a more premium model.

Its always a good idea to keep trends for your heart rate (resting/exercising/sleep) and BP so that its easy to diagnose for changes in patterns. My doctor was super happy to see all the historic numbers (only heart rates at that time, now i have manually added BP in).
