KnivesShipFree.com is top notch. I have bought many knives from them and always had the fastest shipping out there. Customer service and the owner are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Buy with confidence. I don't post often, but this was worth letting everyone know about.

Really? Do you think somebody would make a reproduction of a $29 knife?

Depends what you want it for, as well as budget. Camping, cutting up boxes, just something that looks cool, etc. You really can't go wrong with a PM2, Para3, chaparral, or dragonfly though. All have received rave reviews and are of different price points, sizes (I've listed them in descending size/price)

Edit: but if you want a single option - if your state allows knives over 3" get a PM2. if not, get a para3

You'd be surprised at what fraudsters are willing to fake.

I bought a cheap headphone extension cable that turned out to have no coaxial shielding in it and thus was noisy. We're talking about fraud on a $5 cable. But hey, if they do this for hundreds of thousands of these cables, it adds up to a lot of money for the fraudsters.

The same scam was run on network patch cables--I bought a $20 cable off Amazon, used it for a while, had trouble with it, and cut the RJ45 plug off to crimp on another one. I found out that they had cheated on the copper wiring by using only one strand of copper per each of the eight conductors. No, I don't mean this was a solid-core wire (one of eight in the jacket). It was stranded wire with far fewer strands than normal. Anyway, they were probably saving a penny or two of copper per foot, but for millions of feet of cable, it's worth the scam.

I do not think I know somebody would and has. Just browse Alibaba for 30 seconds

Any suggestions? Looking for something in the 3" range with no serrations. All the cheaper ones I'm looking at are made in China, Italy and Japan. Is there a difference or are all spyderco knives good?
The Delica is one of my favorites for the price. You can step up to the Native or Para 3, but the curved handles of the Delica kind of just melt into your hands and disappear in your pocket. I often carry mine inside my waistband when I have other things in my pockets, and the curves make it super comfortable (compared to other knives that irritate my love handles).

All Spyderco knives get the job done - but the main differentiators are locking mechanisms, blade material, and ergonomics. The Chinese blades are a good value, but only come with a liner lock - which is good for most people - but the back lock (Japan) and Compression locks (USA, Taiwan) are more robust for hard working tools. Similarly, the steel in the Chinese blades is quite good for the price - but by stepping up to the other product lines, the steel offers more corrosion resistance, durability, or the ability to keep a sharp edge longer.
