I think one needs to be a total idiot to think that anything on the internet is private. Just about every single big organization has had data leaks and hacks . . . do people not learn anything at all.

The rule is very simple, if you value privacy simply do not invite camera or microphone in that location. If you are are going to invite that and expect security and privacy, the joke is on you.

I use different brands of cameras all around the house, cost is great and I get notifications promptly. But if one want's to watch me mow my grass or watch my packages delivered I would not care, because the moment I installed the cameras is the moment I gave up the privacy right to that area.

As for the camera on the vacuum, the brand is totally irrelevant to me. If the technology requires a a video and a connection to the internet . . . I will mitigate that 2 ways:

Not use it
Use it at night when I am not in that area with a kill switch to vac/router
No way I'm using anything form Eufy after the latest news on Eufy/Anker's awful privacy practices. And I believe these Eufy Robo vacs have a camera on them as well.

This guy Paul Moore figured it out. All credit to him.

I can't seem to find any reviews for this online or on YouTube, has anyone purchased this or find any reviews?

The things it has going for it I can see is the Lidar and this not having the mop could be good as it allows for a bigger vacuum dust bin, and the mop is usually underpowered to be meaningful.

I was looking at this and it basically looks to be the LR30 Hybrid without the mop (and therefore has a larger dust bin).

Thanks for the link. Yes, it is the LR30 Hybrid but without the mopping feature.
And the Dust collector is 600 ml vs 330 ml for the Hybrid.
All other features are the same, so it should be just as good for vacuuming.

I've placed the order, will update if I find any issues.

I have two Eufy vacs, and I have to say I'm VERY impressed. The suction and AI in them seems to be superior to Shark and even the mid-level Roomba products. At $199 for this you probably won't be disappointed.

Only complaint is the dust bin is pretty small on most of their models. We have two dogs and I have to empty ours daily.

Here's the thing: everyone wants their own R2-D2. But to achieve that, the product has to get to know you. To achieve THAT, you either have to build $10's of $1000's of your own technology, or a company has to crowdsource that tech and be able to profit off of it.

Anyway, I've been using cloud products with cameras for years and have had absolutely zero issues with privacy or creepy behavior. The only thing I've seen in targeted ads.

That's not the first time someone has said this lol..

On the side note.. I started out with Eufy vacs actually. The cheap old ones without lidar actually work quite well. The software that they use for the vacs is nice and the vacs do a good job cleaning and not getting stuck. Lidar at this price range from a dependable brand that isnt Roborock is pretty solid. Id jump on this if i didnt already have enough robo vacs

Does this have to have Internet access? As in can I get it set up then block it from the web and alleviate the privacy concerns?

Probably for setup/control. I ASSUME, but not sure that you can subsequently disconnect it or block the MAC from the network and then it will maintain the schedule.
