    If they want to play: Your best bet for totally new beginners would be something like the Pokémon Battle Academy set. It has 3 premade decks, accessories, and directions for about $20.
    If they just want to collect: Get a set that has some kind of special holo cards and a bunch of booster backs.

    I think the Elite Trainer boxes might be something to get them once they get into it a bit and start making their own decks.

    The Pikachu and Zekrom box (10 packs for $30) is going to be your best bet for a variety pack, otherwise the 6 silver tempest for $18 is solid is you want to go after the newer set, pretty good all around

    For $10k, what Pokemon products would be with investing in for the next 10 years for:

    A) the best return
    B) the coolest products to give your kids?

    My quick research shows these crazy graded poncho pikachus, Mario brothers themed pikachus, and complete base sets (which might take up more space)?

    Put in an order for the charizard box, getting it for that far below retail is a win to me if it actually ships. Can't see it selling for too much below that in the near future.

    I ordered some from GameStop and also price matched a few at target. Target makes it even better if the associate who does the price match let's it apply your 5% off with red card too.(sometimes they tell you it's either price match or 5%, not both....but sometimes your lucky. it worked for me today)

    Fricken Gamestop they do not have it near me but other stores are available for pickup. There is a store 20miles away that has it but will Gamestop let you do ship to a nearby store? Of course not. Then the store near my wifes job says they do have it but when I go to the cart the name of the store changes and says I cannot pick it up there. This is why you are going to go out of business Gamestop!!! Target lets me ship to store or to my home for free if it is in stock at another store. Also why 60+ for free shipping come on most other places are from $25-35.

    I got shot down as well saying that item isn't eligible for price match and that they only price match within 14 days .. maybe just return to target and put an order in at Gamestop?
