I just bought this stainless version a week ago. It's the real deal but you definitely have to learn what you're doing. It took me about 3 hours of well researched experimentation to dial in my beans. Well worth it. The espresso quality and foam quality are top notch and at this price it's a no brainer.
Fyi camel camel camel has this at 699 lowest price ever.
Recommend you watch a few YouTube videos to learn how to pull espresso shots.
You'll need a scale, thermometer, and bottomless portafilter if you wanna have some fun.

Took me a month and lots of coffee wasted to dial in and it is worth it. Much more flavorful tasting coffee. This machine replaces my Saeco HD8758 (still working for over 5 years just needed more flavorful coffee and thus I bought the barista pro)

Dang a whole month? Did you bother to check the internal burr setting? It only took me 2 hours and a bag of coffee to figure out what I was doing wrong 😂😂
Really good deal for those waiting on an espresso maker. Purchased this recently and love this machine. Dialing in takes some getting used to but everything you need to learn is on youtube. Recommend getting a dosing funnel to prevent spillage.
Looks like all breville products are 20% off atm. Anyone know the difference between this and the breville express.
Was very tempted to pull the trigger on the touch but it was an extra $250e
I bought my Pro 2 years ago and remember researching them all. From what I remember, the Pro has a better heating system, so the water is hot and ready go almost instantaneously. This was a huge selling difference for me. There were a few other differences like the steaming wand being better and faster on the Pro; there were more grind settings on the Pro. The one other difference that wasn't that big to me, but can be a bit helpful was the LCD display. For me, it's only helpful when I have to run the machine through a descaling or the cleaning cycle. Otherwise, I could care less about it for every day use.
Seattle Coffee Gear has a great YouTube channel where they review each machine and sometimes do comparisons. Great content and very helpful. They usually have the same deals going as other sites.

Thank you! Already pulled the trigger on the pro so it's good to know it was the right choice. I'll make sure to check out that channel. Crazy the express is actually more expensive atm. Weird

You'll love it. Another guy posted a video walking you through "dialing it in". The video was a bit fussy for me, but generally walked you through the steps to get there. I ended wasting a bag of beans and it took me about a half hour, but it's been working great for me for about two years now.
