Good deal. I wish Breville would figure out how to add some sort of lattego-like system to this machine considering its purpose is to automate the tamping process. Can't help but feel like that would put it over the top for people who still want the espresso quality of semi-autos but the convenience of a superauto. Maybe they've done market research and I'm wrong and people who want autotamp want a manual wand.

Looks like many models on sale including delonghi la specialista (edit: I forgot that one was the one with not so great reviews, all the names are blurring together at this point).

Can anyone comment on of this one is worth the added cost over OP? Thanks and glad to see more deals on machines today!

Darn, the Amazon Prime Visa %back went from 10% to 5% on this item.

Yesterday = $749.95 - 10% Amazon Prime Rewards = $674.96
Today = $719.95 - 5% Amazon Prime Rewards = $683.95

Still, good price on its own.

The main differences are that the PRO takes 3 seconds to heat up vs the OP which takes 30-40 seconds. It also has a 4 hole steam wand vs single hole , which is considered inferior.

I have the pro and it's amazing. Another Slickdeals post has it at 679 in black from Best buy. That's a great deal.

Thanks for the reply. I think I may go with the Pro. I have Amazon card so I get 5% back and it's same price as the best buy deal.

I would definitely. I got mine NIB on eBay last week and with shipping is basically the Amazon price with 5%. It's the lowest you'll find.

You are so right. Actually I'm a little shocked that this machine doesn't include an automatic steam wand (like they have on the Bambino Plus and Barista Touch). It would seem obvious someone wanting a simpler espresso-making experience would want both assisted tamping and auto frothing. I'm sure that machine is coming, but this ain't it.

You nailed it. I am the consumer you described, and I almost went with this. Ultimately said screw it and got a nice super automatic + a $35 auto milk frother.

Right? To me it's odd because it's much more difficult and time consuming to steam milk than to do a quick tamp. Oh well. Actually, I have a Bambino Plus and the auto steam feature works wonderfully. Now I normally just let it do it's thing while I clean up any mess I made pulling the shot. I hope you're enjoying the super automatic.👍

Huh. You can buy this and the barista touch to get full auto tamping, and milk steaming, concurrently, cheaper than the oracle. Good deal.

It is excluded from coupons. I tried yesterday, I sign up with BBB membership, got the 30% off coupon, but the shipping cart said "excluded from coupons"

Normally $900? No... this is just the Barista Express with a level on it to push the tamp down.

The Barista Express very VERY frequently went below $500, like every few weeks.

This is just Breville being like Facebook(Meta) and ever so slightly rebranding so you forget they are effing you over. Couple that with the oddball SD members who live to say "great let me get into my time machine", in a weird attempt to accept that companies are screwing over the consumer with these insane price increases instead of actually pushing back on it.

Skip, please. Smilie
