Sienna burst are hard to come by. I have an older fender MIM that I love. This one looks much nicer though with a board fingerboard and larger block inlays versus the fender clay dots. Pretty decent price for those that are looking.

The binding and hardware on the Gold editions look quite cheap. The Vintage editions are a lot nicer looking, IMO.

These are made overseas not in Mexico. They are all Squier not Fender. Sure looked sweet until I realized ALL of Fenders "deals" are Squier. I'd been happy with MIM Fender but for crying out loud, not a single legit Fender headstock.

Because everyone knows that the tone comes from the headstock.

I would buy a guitar because it is comfortable (which would require it being well made, finished properly) and sounds good -- or can be rendered as such with minimal effort.

I wouldn't NOT buy a Squier because of the name, any less than I wouldn't buy a MIM Fender because it's MIM. If you feel really strongly to the contrary, search for Jack Pearson and then see if you still feel the same way after watching him play, see how many great players think so highly of Jack, ...and see him consistently playing Squiers.

By that logic, then, you think Jack Pearson wouldn't sound any better playing an actual fender? Heck, by that logic, eric clapton, jeff beck, george harrison, etc., etc., are all just eccentric showoffs who should scrap those decadent fender guitars they have and go on tour with a....squier

A 40th Anniversary....squier (womp-womp). LOL Now I've heard it all. Yes, let's make a commemorative edition piece of garbage that, any given day of the week, is readily available in a wide assortment of colors and varieties, for under a hundred bucks via craigslist, offerup, etc.
Gee, I sure hope that a commemorative or anniversary edition of the frontman 10g amp is also available! What a sweet setup that would be!!! smh....
I know that many of you here on slickdeals LOVE you some squiers but, at the end of the day, they are worth only the value placed on them by the owner (who is usually trying to convince himself that he has "the same thing" as a fender and ultimately not feel like someone who cheaped out on buying a nice instrument they can own for however long and get their money back out of it if they ever decide to sell it).
No one wants those things...and I don't blame them. I don't want a walmart guitar either.

I thought the brand was obvious in a thread all about Squiers, but I edited my comment to include the full name in case that's helpful to anyone reading or searching Slickdeals.

...I wonder what is up with you and your capitalized "LOL"s.

Slick deals has been sponsoring only the cheapest crap guitars on the market. Anybody who actually plays already knows this. Idk who this is for. You can walk into guitar center right now and buy one BETTER and CHEAPER then any of this crap they've been sponsoring

What logic? That a Squier can be used perfectly fine by a highly respected Pro despite gear snobbery from consumers? That logic? Or, the made up logic you just tried to create to suit your lame narrative. /fail
