Great deal! I have this lock for over an year and works great. Opens in an instant with fingerprint unlike my previous august lock where I had to wait until the Bluetooth connection is established.
It's interesting how LPL literally reviewed this lock few days ago, and now it's on sale.

I haven't had such luck. I have both the key pad version and the fingerprint with keypad. I found the finger print to be very unreliable. both my wife and have to scan multiple times. in many cases it takes 4-5 fingerprint tries to get it to unlock. I found myself using the keypad rather then the fingerprint scanner as it ends up taking longer with so many misreads.

I've re-registered my fingers many times, tried different fingers, always the same very inconstant results for both my wife and I. We do have the z-wave version which I doubt has a different scanner in it.

I do like the overall look and functionality of the base keypad lock and would buy it again. I'd avoid the extra expense of the fingerprint reader as it's just too low quality. We have the z-wave (not part of this sale).

How's the battery life? Reviews claim battery runs out monthly. And it only takes alkaline battery. Rechargeable doesn't work.
Great, I've had mine since July and have not replaced the battery yet. Go in and out that door a couple times a day, it's set to auto lock after 5 minutes.

idk the z-wave version might have a different scanner, I have the wifi+bridge model and the scanner works perfectly fine.

I have the same lock as well and can confirm this. The fingerprint functionality is really finicky and not reliable. I don't know if it's subject to the outside temps or what but there are times where it simply does not work for me and then the reader just freezes after attempting once (and failing). Over 50% of the time I have to resort to entering the code in. It's annoying but the lock itself is pretty cool and the keypad is quite reliable. I also like the fact that you can access the standard key hole if you happen to have a key on you. The other feature that's neat is the ability to power the unit externally (with powerbank) in the rare case that the batteries have failed and you don't have a key. If I had to do it over, I'd just get the non-fingerprint version. What I do like is that the fingerprint version covers up the key-hole... not that it's a big deal but I think it looks nicer.

I bought the standard keylock/code one off Amazon for my in-laws but haven't gotten around to installing it yet. Their place has an outside security screen door which takes larger diameter locks so I doubt this would work there... they typically lock that outside security screen door as well, so even if we installed this on their regular entry door, it would somewhat defeat the purpose of having a lock that can be remotely unlocked; I'm still trying to figure out a solution but we would probably need to install a remote lock on the security screen door, if such a lock exists. Anyway, the whole point was to be able to easily unlock their door (and remotely if necessary) in case there is an emergency with them - e.g. one of them is out of the house and the other slips and falls and can't get to do the door... yes, you can create copies of keys and such but sometimes there are circumstances where even those with the keys can't get there in time - remotely unlocking (or at least having a code) for paramedics, firefighters, neighbors, etc could be invaluable

Why do so few smart locks come in an oil rubbed bronze finish? It's a pretty popular choice for door hardware, lighting fixtures, etc.

I can't speak to these versions on sale, but I have the upgraded version you listed and love it. I've been using it for about a year and have replaced the 4 AA's 2x now, so maybe 5+ months of battery life, which might depend on usage. The fingerprint sensor works most of the time, but we have a covered entryway, so it's not really exposed to the elements. I don't really use the BT auto-unlock feature, but I love the autolock feature. Mine is set at 4 minutes, but you can also hit the Ultraloq logo on the outside and it will lock immediately. You can remotely lock/unlock it if ever needed, which has been reliable the few times I have used it. I didn't want the wifi bridge version because my 2 toddlers would rip it out constantly, so that upgrade was worth it.

I don't have experience with other smart locks, but I don't think I'd ever go with another brand after my experience with Ultraloq. A little pricey, but well worth it.

I love Lock Picking Lawyers videos but you have to remember that he is a pro and makes it look easy. A criminal is NOT going to waste time picking a lock, they're going through a window or kicking the door in. Locks only keep honest people out.
