Track saws have fantastic dust collection, if you're running a hose for dust collection it's no extra work to be using a corded version, especially since you can plug the cable into a dust extractor which will automatically turn on when you turn on the track saw.
Basically there are no downsides to a corded version and there are huge upsides like not having to worry about batteries decaying over the years

For me, I decided to order the kit along with a 55 inch rail from Rockler (20% off, so it was around $75+tax) and the TSO GRC-12 from eBay (although their website is basically the same price) as they appear to be much higher quality and self-centering vs. the Makita version.
I also purchased the overpriced bag, the clamps, and some gloves from Amazon to reuse the coupon. It's been . . . an expensive day for me.
What I did need is the 40v duster... my gawsh that thing is awesome. It's worth getting into the XGT 40V alone! Lol

This is an old pic, before I got everything put on/didn't have all the hooks but right now I have stuff scattered from the most recent project. On the cordless side, I'm invested in Bosch 12/18 & Milwaukee 12/18
Yard tools are Milwaukee as well but that's in the shed. I should've built the tool shelf larger. I'm not a professional woodworker by any means, just a DIY'er. Wood/fiberglass subwoofer enclosures are the primary thing I do, anything outside of that I'm more of a novice.

Which uses an empire triangle to get a perfect right angle. As long as you make sure to check the squareness of the triangle you buy you are guaranteed a square cut
I bought four empire triangles online and then returned three of them, keeping the perfectly square one 😃
my total was 367.83
