Track saws have fantastic dust collection, if you're running a hose for dust collection it's no extra work to be using a corded version, especially since you can plug the cable into a dust extractor which will automatically turn on when you turn on the track saw.
Basically there are no downsides to a corded version and there are huge upsides like not having to worry about batteries decaying over the years

I have ring video and all that fall on deaf ears over at Customer Support that shows their truck, and the driver only delivering 1 package. They even went so far after i explained that they sent me an email to contact police for report before they will do anything....I must say CS is the worse I've ever dealt with over the past 10 years. Then today another email saying that I've seem to be having high package loss, and to check my as address....funny as this is the first out of hundreds of packages...SMH
The box says 1 of 2...but i believe that is a factory sticker, and not amazons doing.

I received the replacement yesterday and it' was delivered by USPS this time instead of an Amazon courier. It was basically two separate makita manufacturer box (saw and track) taped together by clear masking tape so they became one oddly shaped object. There were stickers on both boxes indicating 1/2 and 2/2. This wasn't the case the first time when they shipped me the track only. And someone else said they received both item correctly but in a larger brown box. It seems to me the problem lies in how Amazon warehouses are packaging these two items. It's inconsistent and whoever is not making an effort to package them together is getting 1 of the item in the kit lost.
1. first initial order was received Dec 29 and was only the track. Called Amazon cust service and they processed a replacement.
2.replacement order was received yesterday Jan 6 and was only the saw.
So together with both orders by sheer luck I had one complete set. I called customer service to explain that they only delivered one of two packages in a the set TWICE and so I think the rep was sympathetic to my cause and said I didn't have to return anything. So it all worked out in the end.

Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you. My saga has finally ended (hopefully).
1) Ordered when this deal first appeared.
2) Got only the track in mid-Dec.
3) Called and was sent a replacement. Was told to call back to initiate a return of the 1st order once the replacement came.
4) Replacement came early January with complete set.
5) Called to initiate return of 1st order. Customer service did not seem like she knew what I was talking about. Asked her several times and she said she understood. She created a return code and label. Based upon her description in the return label e-mail, it said I was returning the replacement order. WTF?
6) Looked at the status of my 1st order and it showed a return code, which was different than the one created in point #5. Decided to just use this return code instead.
7) Clenched my butt that they figure this out. Got an e-mail this morning said they received my return, sent out the replacement, and everything is considered closed.
I'll be watching my credit card the next few weeks but hopefully that is the end of that.
