We had this and the novelty wore off very quickly. It's loud and kind of a pain to keep using. the good news is the resale market seems pretty good. Sold it in a few hours for 80% of what we paid.

I don't agree. It's very easy to use and to clean. Great for making any kind of ice cream and shake concoction. For this price, I think it's definitely worth getting. I got it for $45 more a couple of months ago. Wish I would have waited. Hate to overpay. Smilie

fantastic price. even with only one pint you can just buy more and still come out to a good price. I bought this on sale at Costco a few months ago for around 140 and well worth it

Nice price. Too late for me I ordered the deluxe from Kohls. It was $199-25%-$20 chase cash back and on top of it $45 kohl's cash.

Why is it a pain? I started making popsicles this last summer after searching forever for the right stainless molds, and learned I need an ice cream maker to get it right before freezing. Does this work well? Is it better or worse than the competition? What's different in the new model that's replacing this?

I always think about buying one of these when I see the deals posted on these but then I remember what a relative told me. They said that after you go out and buy the ingredients needed to make the stuff, you end up paying more than you would if you just bought ice cream sold in the stores.
