I have the 7000 which is $35 with the coupon and I'd recommend that one over this one, says washable attachments on the 5000 but the 7000 says fully washable trimmer.

I have used it in the shower several times and it still works great, also according to the specs, battery lasts longer.

I just got the 7000 also and one word of caution for people who have used the older models. I have used previous 3000 and 5000 series but the attachments broke so I purchased the 7000 to replace the last one. The old models used to have a single attachment that you can adjust the length in 1mm increments but these new models no longer have that. These new models only have one length and you have to switch them each time you want a certain length. What even worse is that they don't give you enough different lengths for one mode, so if you want to cut your hair with 12mm and then go to 1mm or 3mm, you need to not only switch the attachment but also the blade head because the wider hair blade doesn't have a 1mm or 3mm attachment. Pretty stupid design and decision.

TLDR - These new models use single length attachments compared to previous models with adjustable attachments. These make the new models a PITA to use compared to the old models.

Anyone with these 3000/5000/7000 know if this is overkill for just trimming around the neck hair after a haircut for the kids? ..or should I look for a trimmer that isn't as wide or aggressive to make more smaller trims. I like the 5000 for the 3hrs battery and don't mind paying if it last longer than 5 years.

The 3000 is washable meaning the detachable blade piece can be washed under the sink. These I don't believe can be used in the shower.

How does this (or the 7000) work for pubes? Looked at the lawnmower and it seems like a very good marketing company with an extremely poor product. Currently using my gfs cheapie shick trimmer thing and it works okay but a little weak

DO NOT buy this this is not water proof. If you try to rinse it water will go inside and it will stop working. I waster $35. Who makes a trimmer that is not water proof?
I have a habit of rinsing my trimmer every time after use before I put it away so this is a no go for me even at $5.

Does this cut the hair? Is it smoothly cutting if yes? I have wahl snd it's pulling the hair which hurt a lot.
