The ink appears to be super expensive for this printer on ebay/amazon. What do you guys like this printer so much? Reviews are horrible on amazon.

Instant ink is the way to go. You get 6 months to start free here and then with referrals, you can get another 3. It pays for itself over time, plus you can always get discounted cards for it.

Got it. I never tried e ink and would always find a printer with low cartridge costs. Can you please elaborate on how the referral program works and the discounted cards you were referring to? Thanks

Photo Quality is ranked 1/5, owner satisfaction and reliability are 3/5, text speed 2/5. Text quality is 3/5 and graphics quality is 3/5. "Long term cost is high among inkjets". "Can't print if a color runs out"; "Lacks separate ink carts for each color".

Overall, pretty crappy.
