I stilll think the macbook pro 14 at $1600 is a hell of a deal even with justt 512 gb ssd
That was my temptation, as I got it for my daughter last year. But it is heavier, bulkier, $400+tax more. I like the old MBA form factor, so easy to take daily around.
I think it will be easy to sell in 9-12 months unless we are in recession.
