I saw it's also the same price at QVC:

For anyone that wants to be able to fix their own machines when they inevitably die, you may want to steer clear of Breville. They are notoriously built for "one use" only, meaning they have proprietary screws and parts and are built in such a way as to intentionally keep you out and keep you from replacing what is probably a very inexpensive part.
As someone who has taken apart two different, VERY complex superautos, and rebuilt, I definitely frown on this practice. It's wasteful for one, and anti-consumer for another. Gaggias and their ilk are great IMO not because they produce any better shots than this would, but for that primary reason.

Look at the many other threads on Breville that posted today and yesterday...many people are getting this to work.
Given that the BBB coupon took the price of the pro down to under $500 I opted to get the pro after all. (I had joined membership plus expecting to score the bambino for $200 on saturday but that didnt work until today). Then I got talked into the pro so here I am. I will pick it up tonight.
Under $500? I got it down to $510. $680 - $170 (25%) = $510
Edit: ah, if you include the $100 in rewards, I see
The reciept showed- 849- 170 sale discount. Coupon discout was 204 so net order was 475.99. Tax made it 517 and change. Keep in mind this is the membership plus coupon which was $29 to buy, so I basically am "out" $4.

I knew it's what I wanted though so I didn't really care about getting a deal. It does one thing and it does it very well!

Noooooooooooo! Dammit, missed a deal on the Bambino + again. BBB sold out. QVC sold out. Guess I'll wait another few months til next big Breville sale. Unless someone knows of similar deals? $400 is definitely not a deal.
$400 isn't a deal? Dang, good luck with finding anything cheaper. I actually bought mine on eBay for something like $325, but that was years ago, when they first came out. I got lucky. Actually, I think the original price of the Plus was around $400. That didn't last long.
Let me clarify. PAYING $400 for this is not a deal. You either need to use the BBB route, or QVC with the 15% CB, and I think there was one other.
$400 is the base 'deal' but many people in many different threads (there are about three or four different active Breville threads currently) are getting these for much less with coupons, etc. $340 with the QVC deal. Less with the BBB deal. etc.

Right. People here know how to work it.👍
Also if you are an in store deal hunter, Marshalls or Home Goods might have one for $350 without needing tricks/coupons. Extremely YMMV though.

People say this but I've never once seen one in years of shopping at Marshall's/Ross/home goods. Very very YMMV!
