From what i've seen 8GB is soldered on and there is an empty slot for 1 stick.

Thank you - I noped out when I saw the finance charge, then read this and did the deal - feel good about saving $100 off the Costco price

There is no ram constraint. You can easily upgrade to 40 GB for less than $80 by buying a 32GB module and install it in place of the 4 GB one shipped with the laptop.

I wouldn't pull the trigger on this at 1100 due to throttling/performance issues.. but hard to beat that screen at 600.
