There is no ram constraint. You can easily upgrade to 40 GB for less than $80 by buying a 32GB module and install it in place of the 4 GB one shipped with the laptop.
There are 2 upgradable slots? 2x32gb would potentially give me 64gb; this laptop allows for this upgrade?

From what i've seen 8GB is soldered on and there is an empty slot for 1 stick.

Well there is only one upgradeable slot to give a max of 40 GB which should be more than enough for most folks as many laptops of this size are not upgradable (ram wise) so you are often limited to 8GB or 16 GB. If you consider 40 GB is a constraint then this laptop is not for you.

Thanks for clarifying.

I'm not an expert, but I believe it would be 16gb in dual channel and the rest single.

Thank you - I noped out when I saw the finance charge, then read this and did the deal - feel good about saving $100 off the Costco price
I understood correctly, I choose affirm as payment, the first installment is deducted from me. After which I can immediately pay the balance, and % will not be?

I bought this on BF for $622 using zip pay. It's very fast for regular tasks and when used while Plugged in runs like a dream. Battery life is decent while on balance mode and keeping the screen at 50 percent brings me down close to 30% in 3-4 hours. Fan is a bit loud when it kicks on and if you use this while in bed it will get a little hot.

Have you tried whisper mode which is supposed to be quiet and ideal for normal working? If anyone can please share feedback regarding this mode, I want to know if the fan is loud even during normal browsing/watching online content.

Does the Costco warranty work for non member online purchases?
