Great to see the price on these keep coming back down. I have this from the last time Costco had them on sale in store... a bit more expensive then. It's been very reliable. I'm always using it in performance mode so I don't get near the advertised range, but it's still plenty to do what I need.

Any thoughts on this or the Costco black friday deal (F35 - which is a rebranded f40). I picked that one up but I wonder if I should get this one instead.

It is also the same price on segway's website.

I need a scooter and this one seems like a solid choice. Any other recommendations? Looking for reliability.

Also, I wish they had the original model with longer range on sale.

Looked at the specs almost identical scooters but the the g30 has a bigger battery and can go further. It is also slightly bigger and heavier. I bought the one from Costco as well. I'll probably stick with that one because of their generous return policy, unless someone tells me differently

The only draw back to this scooter was the front brake (as apposed to the rear) and they are a bit heavier than my M365. I would get one but my M365 seems to keep going with no real issued (other than flat tires all the time).

I have the G30, F35, and Unagi. I kept going back to Unagi because it's faster, nimbler, and so much easier to fold up and go. The only two things I don't like about the Unagi are how little (no) suspension and short range. My commute includes climbing stairs because of Seattle tunnel maintenance is a joke. Escalators and elevators are out 6 months out of the year. It makes a huge difference when you are carrying a scooter weighs 27# vs 45#.

I think range and battery size are identical. Double check me but I think that's right.

From the reviews. Excellent breaking ability, very sturdy. Average acceleration. Not for people over 5'8", the handlebar is a bit too low. The light color might show more dirt.

F35 better for smooth ride with disk break, and I felt easy to ride than GP model. I have GP30 ( long range ) and added F35 this year.

Disk brakes might be the tie-breaker for me. Water resistance seems to also be the same.

This is a pretty solid choice and you'll have the Segway brand behind it with Amazon as the middle-man in case you run into any immediate issues and need fast returns.

The best alternative I can find in the price range is the NIU KQi2 Pro for $449: https://slickdeals.net/f/16185379-niu-300w-kqi2-pro-electric-kick-scooter-25-mile-range-17-5-mph-450-free-shipping

Same speed and range, slightly cheaper, weighs (very) slightly more. NIU isn't as well-known as Segway but it's a pretty popular e-scooter brand, and anyway I think Segway just bought their scooter business from some other company but don't quote me on that.

Both of those scooters rely on the air-filled tires for suspension as far as I can tell. I've ridden such scooters around town and they're actually not bad, the tires keep the ride nice and bouncy which I can't say for some scooters with smaller tires and no suspension, but keep in mind that air-filled tires are one of the main points of failure for these scooters and you'll have to replace them when they pop.

I'm biased considering I submitted it, but I would still give the Vsett 8 a look. Front- and back-suspension for a super smooth ride, 22-37mi. range, goes up to 26mph (has different gears so you can limit your speed if you want), back tire is solid since back tires are usually the ones that pop. Someone recommended it in a previous thread and I ended up buying it, though I'm still kicking myself for not waiting a few weeks for this BF deal.

Greatly discounted, and currently comes with a 2-year warranty as part of their Black Friday sale: https://slickdeals.net/f/16176361-rev-rides-black-friday-sale-e-scooters-and-eucs-free-2-year-warranty

Sale price is $649 but some people in the thread got the promo code GOTSCOOTER to work for another $50, bringing it down to $599. At only $100 more than this Segway, I think it's a much, much better deal.
