Bought 2 of these years ago and have had them running every night attached to a smart plug (since they remember the power/noise/volume settings). No looping in the audio since it's an analog sound machine and the price is about what I paid on sale 4 years ago. Good deal if you need them!
These generate the sound themselves instead of playing back an audio track. I have a sound app on my phone, but I can tell when it loops when I'm falling asleep.
I have four or five, something like that. They all are great and get heavy use.
Also, one of the cords stopped working on one of them. I emailed the company, they asked for my shipping address, and a couple days later I had a brand new cord, free of charge.
This is the best sound machine to buy for home use IMO. It's superior to the versions with fans because it can get louder or more quiet, has a wider array of sound options, doesn't have a fan bearing to go bad (a common problem) and is a bit smaller. It is superior to cheaper ones and apps because there's no loop which could wake you up every time it hits that point.
It just straight up works. I have 3. They're great. It's normally $40+. If you're thinking about it, just buy it.

I can understand buying one of these for a baby or young child, but if you've got a phone next to your bed (and who doesn't these days), there's a wealth of other options. I use the free myNoise app on iOS and it's great, with no ads or tracking. The very first noise generator has like a dozen different presets that probably encompasses most of what this Lectro does, and then there are another two dozen free sound generators (and hundreds in the store, though I've never bought any).
Just bought two more. We have a been running 1 of these in our room, two of our older kids' room and our babies room for 4+ years and never a blimp or failure. Makes it super convenient for travel as well because the sound is dead consistent night after night and very portable. We are prone to short electrical outages and have ours on a UPS battery backup in the kids room and the kids never wake during thunderstorms or with temporary power outages. Everyone sleeps better so worth every penny for consistency and quality. We always have spares and a set for travel as well as a set at our fishing cabin. These are amazing if you need consistency and appreciate quality sleep!!!
Having a dedicated sound machine is fantastic! I have one of these and I love it. I used to turn on a loud fan that I had, but it used a lot of electricity so we switched to this and I love it. I even bring it on trips.
You can use your phone and when I'm in a pinch I do too, but this one actually fills the room with the sound rather than just playing it in a direction like the phone speakers do where one side of the bed will be louder. I definitely just found one setting that I like and leave it on that all the time, but the options are pretty good.
If you're already running a bed time fan app or something every night, I'd highly recommend getting one, but if you don't have any other sounds you usually use, this is pretty much useless to start using randomly.
