Can the pb-1000 be connected to the second speaker output on a Sony STR-DH190 or do you need a receiver with sub out?

SVS cited increased shipping container costs for their 20% price increases last year. Shipping container costs are now back down to where they were before the pandemic and yet it doesn't appear SVS has bothered to reduce their prices back down by 20% to reflect that fact! Interesting, isn't it? As if this company wasn't already making enough profit margin to begin with.
No businesses will ever drop the price back to pre pandemic. No one is that dumb to say no to more money.

The pb-1000 can go down to 19hz while that klipsch can only go down to 29hz, big difference when you play a movie. 19hz you can feel it in your chest. I went from a 27hz r-110sw Klipsch to a pb-1000.
You're making me regret my purchase, lol. Only difference that can keep me going for a while is the r120sw is 12" and seems to be decent and l got in a good deal with citi/Amazon offer and some Cashback for $200 including tax. But yes the svs would still make a difference but too lazy to return the Klipsch. Next time.

I love SVS. I have two of their subs and a complete HT setup from SVS. Everything is excellent quality, and their customer service is unbeatable. If you have the money to go Pro on the subs I would go with the Pro series. I returned the regular series because there was no app control for volume for the subs.

I was debating between the $399 PB-1000 outlet sub vs this 12" $249 Klipsch [amazon.com]. I went with the Klipsch and it seems to be pretty good for my use case at least. I upgraded the 8" sub that came with Klipsch 5.1 system. So far the 12" seems to give out good punch. However, I honestly wouldn't know if the PB-1000 would have been a better purchase. Maybe sometime in future when I decide to upgrade I will go with one of these SVS subs.
I do not think that there is a comparison between the SVS and the Klipsch. It's like comparing a Volkswagen with a Porsche. The SVS sub will blow the Klipsch sub out of the water.

I have the velodyne DLS-R3500 which I hardly turn up the volume. Do I hear much differences with the SB1000 for music, i don't care much about movies.
Thx

I have a klipsch sw112 & a Bic f12, anyone think I'd get good upgrade going to sb-2000 (pro?) or pb-2000 (pro?)?
My current subs put out good volume but can be a bit muddy. I've been thinking about a sealed box for purposes of tightened response, but subs I buy never seem as good as the reviews say.

Well we consumers are not required to pay their asking prices, so how do you know they're making more money? Price elasticity of demand. They may be making more per unit but their volume may have fallen off a cliff for all we know.

Every company in America is doing the exact same thing. We the people are getting hosed but SVS is not doing anything unusual here.
JBL has somehow not raised their prices. If anything they've lowered them! And their price points are generally much lower than SVS's to begin with so you'd think they'd have less wiggle room. Proves it can indeed be done! Props to JBL!

Not an audiophile but enjoys mostly music with deep bass and movies as well.
I currently have a down firing klipsch 12 inch synergy sub(12HG 300 watts) . How better is pb1000 pro in terms of bass and sound quality? Would there be a significant difference? If yes, then i wish to pull the trigger. Kindly help me take a decision.

Night and day. Once you buy that, you'll never go back. It's the biggest bang for your buck in an audio system. The first time you feel the bass below the couch, in the floor, you'll ask yourself why you waited. "Sound pressure" level will make sense.

I had a Martin Logan Dynamo 10'' sealed sub years ago. I loved it. I no longer have a sub. Would this sub be way better than the Dynamo?

Thanks! Any recommendations between pb 1000 pro vs pb 2000 as both are same price?

My room is 17 X 11 feet with running Onkyo txnr 6050 paired with JBL STADIUM Venue Series floor standing pair and klipsch center and atmos speakers.
