Great Price. Picked my RP up for $800 6 months ago for occasional hobby use. Great value when paired with a 50 1.8.

I did this for the RP a few years ago, and they did stack when you called in. That would make the RP ridiculously cheap.

Moved to the RP from a 6D and love it. There are quirks just like every camera, but it's a solid upgrade. It's also a lot smaller than the 6d. The EF adapter works well enough that I don't have any R mount lenses yet.

For complete information about the Canon Customer Loyalty program, contact Canon. In the U.S. the toll free number is 1-866-443-8002.

Basically, you give them the model and serial number of your broken camera. It does not have to be a DSLR, it can even be a low-end P&S, same discount. They then offer a discount on a new one (usually 20%) or sometimes it can apply to the refurbished ones (usually 10%). They may send you a prepaid return box or envelope for the old camera/lens. When I did it, it had the address of a recycle place; another time they told me it was not necessary.

I bought the Refurbished EOS R with RF 24-105mm F4 L IS USM Kit last night (with 7% cash back through PayPal) and I'm glad I did, because that kit sold out within minutes.

There is a canon upgrade program. You can provide the old canon serial number to get 20% discount on a refurbished Eos rp. It comes down to $480. I did it this morning.

I literally just got off the phone w/them, it's a 10% discount on refurbs and you have to place the order over the phone.

Ah screw it, I went with the R body. I don't even fully appreciate the difference between R and RP but I'll bet it'll be a decent upgrade over my 2007 Canon Rebel.
