The Oontz Ultra is much better from an audio quality perspective. For some reason, the extra 4 watts of power makes a huge difference. I returned this one and got the Ultra, was blown-away at how good, bought another, and they've been going strong since 2018. Not thread crapping, this orange one is a slick at $8, a great stocking stuffer? But if you're not in a hurry and you have a discerning ear, I really do recommend the upgrade when they go one sale.

Orange is now sold out / unavailable. I bought three of the black ones back in 2018 and gave two away as gifts. The third one I still have on my desk at work and use it every day.

The battery technology in these, lithium ion, does not like being charged below freezing or in extremely hot weather, and while lithium ion can be discharged (like, using the radio) below freezing, it's probably going to greatly affect the life of the battery.

We returned the original Oontz Angle 3 for the Plus back in 2017. The difference was very noticeable. Even today it's working perfectly! The battery life always surprises us. After months of sporadic use we usually check the battery level (connected to an iPhone) and it's never less than half charged! Based on quality and longevity it's one of the best little electronics purchases I've ever made.

Paid $35 for the Plus back in '17.

The Khanka case (no longer available) probably helped with the longevity. If you travel a lot I'd recommended a case.

Last bit: we got one for my parents that same year and they left it outside 24/7 (covered) and the front grill did rust. Stills works as of about a year ago when we last used it with them.

Edit: wrote this before checking. $14.39 for me now. Not worth it. Dang
