I'll still stick with name brands for things like toothbrushes.

Dental care is expensive as hell. Enamel doesn't grow back. Not taking chances to save a couple dollars.

I consider medical stuff something I will splurge on. This seems like a good price to stock up.

I used Sonicare replacement heads for 12 years. I switched to generic replacement heads that I found on eBay. I will never go back to Sonicare replacement heads. The generic heads are literally 10% of the price and I haven't noticed a difference, and my dentist hasn't either.

dentist here - tbh they all do the same thing (more $ brushes = looks better, better battery, more settings). main thing is to brush gently for around 2 mins and floss/waterpik nightly to remove all the food

I can't see spending $25 for a 4 pack, when I can find generic ones from Amazon/Aliexpress/Temu for 1/10th this price... Of course they might not last as long, but for that price, I don't mind replacing them more often
The generic ones are terrible.

I can't be the only one that the heads last me most of a year each… I rarely change mine.

Chance of possible counterfeits there for brushheads / Gillette's razors and a few other odds and ends .

I've used generics but a lot of them have the bristles fall off while brushing. Never had that happen with Phillips. For like $20-30 more per year I'll just use the official ones.

I'm afraid calling things "terrible" without evidence is not going to help or convince anyone. I'm really interested in knowing whether there is a meaningful difference between official and generic brush heads, but such comments are not helpful at all.

Amazon matched the price. White W3 on S&S for just above $21: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...prod_image

Can anyone shed light on the differences between these models? I see that some of them claim to remove more plaque than the others, and some have a slightly higher rating of 4.8 instead of 4.7 at Best Buy:

To each, their own. Been using generic replacement heads for years. I've had one problem head out of around a hundred. My enamel is fine. I can replace them frequently, and don't feel like I'm sending $6-$10 out the window each time.
