Depends, I'm really struggling with my build. 8700k @ 5.2 all core...I know it's old but I just don't see my benchmarks far off the latest stuff at 4k with a 3080ti. So for gaming I'd say this cpu could last a lot longer with just a GPU update along the way.

Well, some people thought lower bitcoin price and global supply chain easing combined with current economic downturn & higher interest rate would have forced price to go lower but they forgot our inflation rate is through the roof and China is still struggling in their supply chain due to covid lockdown. No deals anywhere.

I grabbed the MSI Aegis RS 12TF-254US i7-12700K, 32GB DDR5, 2TB HDD, 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, Windows 11 deal from Newegg a week and a half ago. Was $1849 with $300 rebate so was $1549. Was listed as 16GB RAM but came with 32GB (2x16). This was the regular case, not the small custom one that popped up right before it.

It stayed in box until today as I was waiting for a better deal. Never saw one other than the Woot refurb MSI a few days ago but that sold out before I saw it.
