The pro reviews give me pause. Solereview says the shoe lacks cushioning. RoadTrailRun says the same. Both agree that the Peregrine 12 is unsuitable for road to trail usage. RTR even goes on to say that the P12 would not be the choice for packed sand trails. I'm not liking what I'm reading.

Has anyone worn this shoe that report on the cushioning?

if you need cushioning maybe take a look at ASICS Kayano 28. It's on sale for about the same price. Kayano are my favorite running shoes with lots of cushion and stability

Thanks for the recommendation but I can't tolerate the higher heel drop in the Kayano.

The Peregrine seems like a nice shoe but it uses PWRN EVA which I find to be too firm in other models such as the Guide 15.

Saucony makes another trail shoe, the Xodus Ultra, which uses their newer Pebax foam. That's a better option than the Peregrine but so far there's no promo code for it.

If someone has a code that works for the Xodus please post it.
