Does it come with the stool too? Nowhere on the page does it say it until you look way down at the bottom where it says Features.
Product Features:

Beautifully bold cabinet artwork, stunningly vibrant graphics, and yep, an included pub stool and tin wall sign that would make any retrogamer envious. Invite The Simpsons™ into your home, with this arcade cabinet from Arcade1Up!

And looks like it should come with the stool as well:

Same $699.99 MSRP, $299.99 on sale. It does say "please note that accessories included will vary by retail partner", though.

Well, I guess we have an arcade now. Marvel vs capcom, super Pac-Man, and nba jams for a little over $600 plus $120 Amex cash back and $300 in gift cards for another game.

1,200 plays till payoff (less gc) if were talking $0.25 per play when we were younger. How much are arcade games play now?
$1 plus and run about 30 seconds of game play on average

Can this be hacked like arcade Legends?
Short answer - no

Long answer - you can rewire the control deck to USB encoders and then get an HDMI board for the monitor and connect a Raspberry Pi or small PC... but that's not really a simple hack. You're essentially gutting the system and will need to buy more hardware than that free gift card would cover. The AtGames Legends arcades don't even require actual hacking, the ability to run games off a USB is already there. You just have to set them up properly for the system.

Is there a kit you can add to charge a quarter to play? It looks like a fake coin hopper below

Not thread crapping this is a good deal but after having Arcade1Up envy for several years but having never seen one of these assembled in person, I finally got to play one at Costco over the weekend. Gotta say the small size surprised me and the experience has quelled any desire for me to buy one. If you are on the fence I suggest seeking one out… yes you can consider the measurements but it hits you when the joystick area is like a mid-sized desk and the screen is like a 17" monitor sitting in the middle of it.

I agree with you. We own 3 of these arcades, and one of them I gutted for a raspberry pi "upgrade". Even with 7000 games on the cabinet (TMNT 4 player) we find we don't use it much. Fitting anymore than two people at these is difficult. I've got 3 kids (10, 8, 6) and they play it some, but much prefer playing PS3, wii, or minecraft on the iPad.

Anyways, this sort of became a "cool for a short while but sits unused a lot of the time" item.

It depends on the family I guess, me and my son (5) play it 3 to 4x per week for a round of Simpsons bowling

Cancelled my order for The Simpsons… after watching some YouTube reviews there are complaints about the audio not syncing and the button control layout being awkwardly close the the joystick. In addition, not sure what id do with it once I beat it. The Simpsons bowling is not online.

At this point I'm just trying to buy something out of nostalgia and wanting to spend on cyber Monday. Gonna just get NBA Jam countercade for cheap for shits and giggles. Don't need to turn my basement into an arcade that's barely used.

I was lazy and sent money off to one of the many arcade1up modding companies (think I did Arcade mod up, and it works great but the reviews for them is scattered).

You can Google and find many different how to tutorials, I had priced going this route but the programming part of the task was beyond my comfort level (and didn't have the disposable time to learn it). So yeah prob not much of a help. To pay someone else to "mod it" is around $300 (with everything wired and all new hardware etc etc)

All of the cabs use emulation. out in the wild you need a much more powerful processors to do emulation with low enough latency, but they can't turn a profit that way, so they use the absolute slowest cpus they can get away with.

That's why there's lag.
