Despite being brushed I've been using the 6-tool version as a light contractor/handyman for 2 years now and have absolutely abused these: beach saltspray conditions, left out in the rain, left in the heat in the truck, dropping from ladders, drywall dust ingress, dirt... and am thoroughly happy with the only wear/slight failure being the reciprocating saw front brace got a bit loose and floppy. The circular saw is garbage and cuts out even with HP batteries on any cut more than 1/4" depth but I'm very happy with the rest, and I got the 6-combo for $150 blemished. Way better value than any other brand IMO and I wouldn't cry as much if they die or get stolen. The flashlight is great for emergencies (4-40 hours of light per battery)

If anyone gets this kit and doesn't want the jigsaw let me know! Been waiting for the $30 deal on that again.

Pretty sure all sales are final. I did a instore pickup and they told me that
I called them to cancel my previous order - placed a few hours ago and they happily did that. Of course the order was still in processing stage

My instinct on these tool deals sucked. I saw this before bedtime last night, was debating about the infamous shipping charge, as I do have an outlet about 150 miles away, and we sometimes went to the town for theme park and stuff. Woke up 6am and this was still up and saw a few more comments and decided to pull the trigger on shipping. Last time for the impact wrench with free battery deal, I chose pick up coz i was gonna be in that town in a week, however, when I finally got their, I was told they did not have that free battery and cancelled the order (but website did not show anything). Had to talk with manager over the phone while the staff located a new batch of that battery right at the register to pull it off as an instore purchase. Otherwise, I was going to be disappointed and they were not budging with replacing the batteries with different models. So online at least if it gets cancelled I did not waste my time and gas (plus it is winter now, no reason for theme parks there).

So, the circular saw in question is the P507. The circular saw may be garbage anyway, however it's not a HP tool, so HP batteries don't give it anything else. HP batteries have two extra contacts on them, and when paired with a HP tool, they have a higher amperage output.

Ryobi wanted the HP Batteries to be able to be used in older tools though, so that's why they run normally except when connected to a HP tool with extra contacts that match the extra contacts on the HP battery.

Also I got trhat recipro for $30 earlier this year and it's a great beater recipro saw. Dampening is crap and there's no flashlight, but its cuts with the right blade.
I only mentioned the HP batteries to give it the best chance possible as they have slightly better performance/output. I've noticed a little more oomph from HP batteries in certain high draw non-HP tools (reciprocating saw) and even low draw tools (when at half-to-low state of charge) when the tool would be ordinarily slowing down or lessening in torque as the HP cells have lower internal resistance and can maintain the voltage better at higher currents and at lower states of charge compared to the regular batteries.

And for everyone else for clarity: HP batteries won't give you higher power from a non-HP tool than the tool can take normally, but they can maintain that power for longer with less voltage sag caused by the load and battery age/degradation, cold temperature, and/or low state of charge.

Was able to get an order in an hour ago. I hope their inventory system is accurate. I've missed out on so many of these tool combo deals the last few years. Especially, the "great $99 Dewalt 7 tool set of Jan '22".

Wow, already received shipped notification from direct tools on this, last time they were shipping that quickly (for my orders at least) was almost two and a half years ago - everything in between has been a few days to a few weeks. Glad to see the speed back with them getting the orders out.

Wow! didn't know about that one:

Makes this one seem like "meh" in comparison. Where's a time machine when you need one? Dead Deal

That was a extremely unusual price mistake. It's one thing to lament missing it, but it's another to compare it to any other tool deal.

Whatever was going on at Home Depot's central distribution center, they were shipping these things out for days. Further, even when they canceled various peoples orders, often times peoples orders were still showing up... though I never followed up on if they ended up getting re-charged or basically got the tools for free.

I only ended up receiving one box, but I'm fairly happy with it!
