Just a word of caution—I have gotten a few of these different samplers from this company and some have been stale as hell. Like could not even draw on them they were so tight.
I would estimate I've purchased 5-6 of these in the past but after two separate packs having one completely unsmokable cigar I've stopped

Thanks for the heads up! Not worth it then. Nothing worse than a stale cigar
Nothing special in the bunch but for $3.20 each this is a no brainer.
Agreed. Not horrible for $3 a stick.
I've smoked some of the sticks that are included in both of these bundles and they're just ok. The Alec Bradley Prensado was highly rated about 10yrs ago, but I've smoked more bad ones than good, I've had a couple of the tempus' that were wildly inconsistent. The Oliva cigars are generally pretty solid, but the only ones I consistently smoke now are the melanio series V. Most of the Rocky Patel cigars I've had are garbage with the exception of the 1990 and the 15th anniversary. But, again at $3 a stick you probably won't find better.

Ive never had a problem with any sampler Ive gotten as long as I've given the cigars pleanty of time to rest in my humidor. Of you bust one out of the pack and try to get a good draw it's much more luck than anything.
I've gotten the sampler with the Alec Bradley, Monte Cristo Platinum and the box pressed Oliva G about 3 times.
As a relative newbie to cigars, I've liked those 3 cigars to be my current favorites. The samplers are a good way to test out what you like and don't like, would definitely recommend.
I also don't smoke them the minute I get them in the mail. I leave them in the humidor for a few weeks and have had zero issues.
Tight draw is often indicative of over humidification…but can be bad Constuction too…. Though I do it occasionally it's generally a good practice not to smoke cigars ROTT ….give them a few weeks in the humidor… it can make a BIG difference sometimes…
Nothing really special here imho…. Sure they are inexpensive and fine to give away or for yard gars but…save your tastebuds for something better…. Jm2cw of course,…

True I put a few away in the buddy box for the first time smokers.

I'm a newbie. What do you recommend that is better?
I have cigars that have been laying for a couple of years in a dry humidor. Still sealed in individual plastic wrapping. Are they still usable? Can they be revived if dried or stale? Do I need to put anything in the humidor (wet tissue or something) to keep the moisture?

If the cigar's aren't cracked, they are salvageable. A damp (not sopping) paper towel would work if they don't seep or drip on the cigars. Then after the paper towels dry out, re-dampen them, ring them out and replace them in the humidor, I would say minimum three weeks, although if they have been stale that long I would probably keep repeating this for a couple months to get them in a real nice place.

I never smoke cigars that have just shipped to me, I like them to acclimate in my humidor for at least a month, preferably more. FIFO
