Which Nvidia does this mostly compare to? I have a 3070 now. This has more memory, but I am not sure it would be much, if any, of an upgrade.

It isn't a shipping issue, it is a card procurement issue.

In my experience, probably 80 percent of the time when AMZ shows delivery estimates this far out, it gets adjusted to come sooner. Sometimes much sooner.

That's been my experience, too.

However, I've purchased a few cpus and graphics card the past month. And the estimated times have been accurate with two days early (on a two week wait) was the earliest. Not saying things won't ship early, but I wouldn't rely on it. Holding the line for so long has meant you might be waiting in line. I'd say if you see a price that's close to your target, and you need something in a timely manner, pull the trigger over trying to save an extra ten bucks.

What really matters there is what resolution you're gaming at. I would want the 6800xt for 4k gaming, but the 6700xt should be great for 1440p.

Unless you want high refresh rate... such as if you bought the Gigabyte 1440/240hz display on sale right now, in which case you probably still need the 6800xt, along with a fast CPU.
What Radeon card do you suggest for an I5-13600k with 32gb of DDR5 on a 1440p/144mhz monitor?

Ordered mine 11/24 , it was supposed to be here today, shipping now showing December 11th. Sure hope Amazon doesn't screw up my son's Christmas present.

Wow, that's interesting considering the age of the 1080! I have a 1070 so this is a big upgrade for me which is why I was curious.

That's misleading, at best. If you dig into the numbers, the 6700xt is vastly better.

The gtx1080 was (and still is quite the feat) an amazing card, but it pales in performance to a 6700xt.

yeah, the curse of having a 1080 - I'm waiting for the 3080 or 4080 to drop in price because otherwise what's the point of upgrading for tiny gains.

6% vastly superior (lol) to the GTX1080 - the site compares thent head to head, not some random numbers. The link outlines the actual performance stats. 1080 was and still is a beast; it can run most of todays games on Ultra settings even though it's a 5 year old card. I only compared the 1080, if you look at the 1080TI, which is from 2017, it's actually 26% Faster than the Radeon.

I agree the 1080 was amazing. But, relying on that site as a reference is laughable.

No. Userbenchmark is a terrible and biased. Look at just about any other benchmark or review from anywhere else. Stop using that site.

Here is a hierarchical GPU list updated just a few days ago from a far more reputable site:
