Average UPS will take up the load in 5 to 8ms, this will take 20ms

If you want to keep something that will power itself back on like a fan or maybe a CPAP, it would be fine.

If you're expecting this to keep your electronics on you might be disappointed

I thought refurb PowerStations were a bad idea since you don't know how many cycles are left? Should I wait on a new?

i've read reviews that this unit can be used as a UPS? would it be a better purchase for this price than an equivalent cyberpower or apc unit?

No, it won't kick in fast enough. You could use this paired with a ups though I suppose

Yes it can. Hobotech on YouTube did a review and demo the ups mode.

i'd also vote no, even idling, not charging or inverter on, this unit runs very warm, has to be using many watts at idle.

Better off buying a true UPS. Even a used one that needs a new battery. For the money, you'd get way more capacity.

This was new for $177 the other day. It's consistently $209 but drops pretty often.

Normally I'd say maybe yes, but this is a new item that was released this year and the battery chemistry being Lithium Iron Phosphate shouldn't affect it much since it has a higher cycle count to 80% vs older battery tech like Lithium Ion.

How does this compare to this -https://www.amazon.com/Nusican-Po...B08S6YN6WL ? The specs look pretty similar although it might be a generic brand.

This is selling for $209 new, is it worth saving $40 to get it refurbished?
