i just had a near 3 year old cyberpower 1500 sinewave ups fry itself the other day. a couple of days before that it started clicking every so often and the front lcd lit up, so that was a warning sign. The other ups were not clicking so there werent any power dips. i was very lucky as i had just arrived home and then it started crackling, popped, and some smoke came out the top vents. I grabbed it and ran outside with it. since it was barely still within the 3 year warranty its getting rma for exchange.

going price on other sites is $165, so saving about $35

note that this takes one 12v battery. the battery is about $20. so $20 of that $130 is the cost of the battery -- edit credit to PureDreams

batteries last up to 3-5 years, depending upon your power dips/outages.

CyberPower will repair or replace a defective UPS system (including batteries) within three years of the purchase date. See warranty for details.

I hope that applies. I know of a number of manufacturers that will claim Woot is not an authorized reseller and all that stuff. Not sure if Woot just copies and pastes what the Amazon page says, regardless of if the manufacturer will honor it

Wish this Costco deal were the updated model with USB-C on front panel…

Woot 1000VA option has the newer design, but not enough capacity for my use case.

Will stick with my non-sine wave 1300VA APC units for now.

I ordered one from Costco a week ago, box severely damaged - retaped, looked like someone else's return. Sent back and ordered a second, same condition. Ordered a third and decided to cancel, not risking it. I still have not gotten refund from Costco on the first shipment. Costco loosing money shipping 25lb junk back and forth, and sales, and customer satisfaction. If this happened with Amazon at least I'd get some promo credit for the hassle.
