Edit: In oregon, we do not have sales tax, but the website will show tax being charged to your card until you put a credit card number in. It goes away.
I know nothing about bread makers though. a quick search turns up cheaper breadmakers from cuisinart and breville. but perhaps someone more knowledgeable might be able to comment if this is a good deal at 40% off.
