I had a v3 just sitting in my front garden getting pummeled with rain. Then we got dumped with 7 feet of snow and it was buried for over a week. The heat from the camera melted the snow around it making a little igloo for itself. After all that it still works but I should probably find a better place to mount it up higher but that sounds like a spring problem.
